FORT WAYNE AIR NATIONAL GUARD BASE, Ind. – The 122nd Fighter Wing proudly received the Carl S. Spaatz trophy, Sept. 13, 2015. This prestigious designation is presented annually to the highest-rated Air National Guard flying unit.

Airmen fired up about training at the Alpena CRTC

FORT WAYNE, Ind. - The 122nd Fighter Wing recently completed an Annual Training period at the Alpena Combat Readiness Training Center, Alpena, Michigan, July 21 through July 31, 2015. During the two week training period, the unit’s Fire and Emergency Services performed many training tasks to include a simulated burn of an aircraft.



The 24 member 122nd FW Fire and Emergency team trained on fully engulfed aircraft fuel fires that included aircraft engines, wheels, interior and exterior fires.
